WHAT IS SUMMER SOCCER?

ASA does not offer soccer leagues in the summer, but we do offer professional training in the form of week-long evening sessions. ASA summer soccer series is a fun, yet challenging environment where youth can play in a relaxed atmosphere while strengthening their physical, mental, and technical skills. Led by ASA Technical Director, Tommy Park, the series also provides an invaluable opportunity for players to be evaluated by an excellent team of highly qualified coaches.

The Strikers week is specifically designed to improve players’ overall technical ability and confidence to finish chances on goal. The program will focus on teaching players the necessary technical skills of properly striking, slotting, volleying and creatively putting the ball in the back of the net. In addition, our dedicated group of professional coaches will utilize unique attack-oriented activities to simulate game situations, including: crossing and finishing, receiving & turning, 1 v 1’s and a variety of combination play. Players will gain an increased understanding of attacking play in and around the goal while building a strong self-confidence in creating and scoring goals. The program is open to our most motivated and dedicated players that want to improve.

The Technical training week is geared towards players in the U9 to U14 age groups.  The Advanced training session will be open only to travel/premiere/select players. This is different than the previous Advanced Training structure. Players will be grouped by age and ability to foster the most appropriate and specific training for each player.  Advanced technical and tactical concepts will be introduced and executed in small-sided environments.
