 Footskills Academy

The academy is designed to help youth players focus on necessary, commonly overlooked foot skills and techniques used in the game of soccer. Throughout the 8 week academy, players will master turns, moves, passing, receiving, shooting, juggling, and terminology. The goal of each session will be to master each skill taught. The focus will be on the quality of skills learned, not quantity of skills taught.

Striker Academy

Directed by Ryan Quinn, Director of Coaching and Player Development, ASA

Field players learn the shooting and scoring techniques and tactics that will elevate their game. The academy is designed to provide players, regardless of position, with the tactics and techniques used in front of the goal.

Each attacking skill is taught using a variety of methods, increasing the level of challenge as the player refines the skill. Players will hone technical skills, a significant portion of the training is allocated to player performance, tactical play, positional skills and psychological and physiological development.

Scoring goals is the final element to a game with many elements. Chances are rare and it is the player that can take those precious chances and put the ball in the net that can make a difference in a game.

U8 Clinics

Coordinated by:  Ryan Quinn, Director of Coaching and Player Development, ASA
Run by:  Ryan Rich and Ryan Quinn

We are continuing the U8 Skills Development Program that we started in the Fall of 2005. This program is open to all ASA rec U8 players and coaches.

This program will prepare our U8 players for the upcoming travel tryouts.

Coaches are encouraged to attend the sessions if possible so they can take the specially designed drills/games back to their own teams training sessions. This is the first step in beginning to develop the talent of Alexandria and I am looking forward to continue working with the U8 players.

This program is sponsored by ASA so there is NO COST to participants.

Please email Ryan Quinn (quinnsoccer@gmail.com) if you plan on attending the sessions for planning purposes.   Please indicate if you will attend Mondays, Thursdays or both.
