ASA Volunteers

The ASA recreation league is successful because of the many volunteer coaches and coordinators that help throughout the year. We have a variety of other volunteer tasks, so if you are interested in helping in any way, please click the button below to be directed to our volunteer signup. If you are needed as a volunteer, we will contact you using the information provided.

All volunteer coaches will be subject to completing a KidSafe background check before they will be allowed to coach teams.

ASA Youth Volunteers
(Ages 13-19)

Throughout the year, ASA hosts many events that require extra help from our friends in the soccer community.

The purpose of this group is to get players and friends of Alexandria Soccer involved in the ASA community. ASA organizes many events throughout the year where help is needed. There is a wide variety of events of which members could volunteer, whether for large festivals or smaller tasks like getting our name out in the community. Our goal is to lay a foundation of committed volunteers and then grow into something that will endure and assist ASA for many years to come.

If you would like to get involved, click the button below and select the option for "ASA Youth Volunteers." When there is an event coming up that requires volunteers, we will send out an email to the entire group to see who is interested in helping. If you are interested in helping, please respond to the email and we will schedule you to help. The more you can volunteer, the better!

Some of the tasks that we may ask for volunteers include (but are not limited to) the following:

- ASA Rec festival (May 18th)

- Supplemental program check-in

- T-shirt distribution at programs

- ASA merchandise sales at rec fields (Saturdays in the Fall and Spring)

- ASA representation at community events (i.e., Alexandria Good Sports Fest)

- Session helpers for Tots soccer

- Various admin tasks like stuffing envelopes for the "Annual Appeal" mass mailing, sorting large clothing orders for the office, and organizing ASA storage in various locations

ASA staff will also sign school forms for community service hours upon completion of events, as necessary.

Thank you for your help and continued support of ASA!

Please contact Jim Hogan if you have any questions. Email jhogan@alexandria-soccer.org  or call (703) 684-5425.
