ASA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia. The mission of ASA is to provide high quality instructional soccer and futsal programs that develop and motivate youth, build character, and make a positive impact on Alexandria and the surrounding communities.  The vision of the club is to be the gold standard for community based soccer clubs -- creating a lifelong love of soccer and impacting the community beyond the sport.

ASA offers recreational, futsal and travel soccer, as well as numerous supplemental programs and community building initiatives throughout the year for over 5,000 players.  ASA has established a strong presence and quality reputation with the Alexandria and surrounding communities.  The club has attracted and built a loyal group of full and part time office, technical and coaching staff and is in search of welcoming a new full time member to the team that shares our values and passion for supporting the community.

Job Summary: The Manager, Administrative Operations is ASA’s lead administrator, reporting directly to the Executive Director. The manager will guide the administrative support of all programs, sharing some duties while being solely responsible for others.  Key responsibilities include;

1.     Office Management
2.     Club Registrar
3.     Website Management
4.     On site liaison with Finance manager
5.     Enhance ASA’s human resources and administrative capabilities

 

Office hours are 9am-4:30pm Monday through Friday throughout the year.  The director may be asked to provide administrative support on site for select special events and programming in the evenings and weekends. 

Qualifications: The Manager, Administrative Operations must be comfortable working with the public, and should be able to work with some members of the public with limited English language abilities. Spanish or other foreign language ability is a plus. The manager should be detail oriented, organized and willing to learn. Computer proficiency including database management experience is mandatory. Experience working with vendors (the research, selection and management thereof) is very helpful as is experience dealing with contracts.  Familiarity with ASA’s soccer programs is a plus. All ASA staff must pass annual background checks.
